Skills Day 2!

Following a successful Skills Day on Feb 25 and many more interested players, RCS is working on a Skills Day 2 on March 31.

Skills Day is the time for new or returning players to get connected with coaches looking for players. This is a great opportunity to meet other league members and shake off some dust, no matter how long it’s been since you’ve played softball. All new players who do not have an ASANA classification will be guided through skills stations, observed, and provided a preliminary classification.

Coaches and managers are connected to Skills Day participants based on team needs and new player preliminary classifications. All new players will need to submit a Player Rating for themselves prior to Skills Day. This helps RCS manage Skills Day and optimizes matches between new players and teams.

Scrimmage or Practice

Teams are welcome to schedule practice or scrimmage between 8am and Noon on this day. Teams are encouraged to plan scrimmages with one another during this time. Please contact the RCS Board if you or your team is interested.

Coaches Clinic and Skills Day

Coaches will have the opportunity to learn how to rate players during Skills Day drills with new players. Interested coaches should contact Chrissie, Director of Competition for more information. New players are encouraged to sign up and participate in Skills Day 2.
